Possible ideas for expanding Gem Trader LADY Script.

Removed from dgt-lady.txt, gemtrade section, 02-14-04:

Planned revision/update work left to do:
   1) When LORD v4.07 beta becomes more stable, or is officially
released, I fully intend to make my more complex scripts,
including Gem Trader, fully 4.07-compliant. That means
those versions would no longer work on old LORD versions.

v4.07-Specific changes to try doing soon:
   -----------------------------------------
   1) Write short messages to LogNow.txt file indicating what
player did inside script. Example: Peddler Jack sold Player X
a Horse today. (Done in IGM version 2.00)

   2) Use direct manipulation of Lord variables via +/- syntax
developed back in April 2002, for LORD 4.07 script writers.

   3) Using ANSI image and accompanying text, and random number
selection, attempt to show/tell player that something funny
happened. E.g.: You buy a horse and leave. An enemy casts
a magic spell, transforming your steed into a cow. You ride
into town, and find everyone laughing at you. Person would
lose 25% of their charm from acute embarassment.

Removed from Dgt-lady.txt ending section:

In Development: No brand new scripts are in progress. Most require
Random Numbers to base script events upon, and LORD doesn't handle
them correctly yet. At least in a compile that is otherwise
   stable. Planned Scripts - DGT:

1) Special random Event, if workable, for Gem Trader: 33% chance
that an top-notch wizard enemy shows up. As you ride off on your
new Horse, he casts a magic spell at you from ambush. When your eyes
clear from the blinding spell-light, you find yourself riding into
Town, and hear lots of people laughing their heads off. "What's
up you say", and they say, "Oh boy, do you look silly riding that
Red Holstein cow. You look down, and yep, that's a moo-cow steed.
And it's time to milk her! Funny Huh?

Has zero REAL effect to LORD play, unless one could actually change
the Horse to a Cow. But not all script events have to make sense.
Eventually, script may also display an ANSI graphic of a person riding
a Cow on-screen if this scenario happens to you.

One ACTUAL effect: Player loses 25% Charm from embarassment.
That will be VERY real. The rest "evaporates" as soon as the
script ends. Status: Not attempted yet.

2) Applies to ALL of my Lady scripts. When scripts can write to the
Daily Happenings Log, everyone will know that something embarassing
happened to a player in an Script event. Problems: Any script
that uses variables introduced in LORD version 4.07 would only be
usable in that version, meaning that I (and other script authors)
would have to maintain two sets of scripts. One set using script
commands that run properly in LORD 4.05-4.06, and one that only
works in LORD 4.07+. Status: Not attempted yet.

3) Sexy-Sam(antha).
10/18/06 Note: Abandoned as script idea around 2003. Concept
was built into my Gem Trader LORD IGM, and some parts of it
were later incorporated into the Kiteria's Lord Bank IGM.
   ---------------------------------------------------------------

Ideas still in flux. Primarily for guys, but ladies will be
covered as well - eventually. Sequel to Gem Trader. Will add
an "parental advisory" to latter when this one is released. Peddler
Jack tells the guys, as they leave his camp: "Watch out warrior, my
daughter Samantha is out there somewhere lying in wait for men. She's
uncontrollable, perpetually horny, and absolutely irresistable to
men. Her sex appeal and physical beauty rivals that of the Goddess
Aphrodite, of Ancient Greece. So she grabs any man who she finds,
except for me, of course, (-- being her father, I'm safe --) and has
her way with them. If you're lucky, you'll survive OK. Some poor
souls do come down with HIV or Herpes."

For Ladies: You may just find Samantha and gossip about men. Or
you may get a chance to be seduced by her father, Peddler Jack.
He not only does great potion deals, but is also quite the HUNK!!
And yes, you will not be able to turn him down. You think Seth
the Bard is the cat's meow? Well Jack taught Seth everything he
knows about pleasing a Lady. Status: Not written yet.

2005 status: I will not be adding any more Samantha code to
the Gem Trader LORD IGM. Her story will be handled in the
future updates of my Kiteria's Lord Bank IGM, where she is
   the banker.

4) Sexy Witch/Warlock -- Charm Horse Deal: You meet either a gorgeous
young witch with the most awesome body you've ever seen, or a hunky
warlock who leaves the ladies drooling. OK, they preserve their
youth by obtaining charm points from warriors while giving them the
best sex they've ever had -- in LORD. If you're on horseback already,
you simply lose some charm points. If you are on foot, they will
sell you a Horse for 20 Charm (if Charm <= 200) or 30 Charm (if
Charm > 200). Status: Not written yet.

5) Addition of script code to offer Saddles event, and
HorseShoes Set event, at some date. Both are currently
available only in the Gem Trader LORD IGM's current beta
   version.

Addition to script of code to write short news notice for
Horse Trade, Fairy Trade, and Adoptions to LORD Daily News
file. Not feasible using LORD v4.07. Not tested using
   LORD v4.08 beta yet.

Addition to script of the "Ride Cow back to Town" event,
which is already detailed in this file.

6) Scheduled for 2007 development of The Gem Trader LORD IGM:

Addition of one or more of these events in the IGM's Horse
Supplies Menu: Apples, Honey and Oats Feed Bag, and Bridles.

At some date, the Gemtrade.ldy (or possibly GemFairy.ldy)
LADY scripts will be revised to cover the Horse Supplies
   Menu events.

No timetable exists for any item listed in this file.
