                       `%GALACTIC WARRIORS`3

You were `$kidnapped`3, beamed out of the forest, like so much lead,
by these unfeeling creatures with large mishapen eyes and heads.

Surfing the Stars,in a "`%Ship`3" that is so fast an huge
You still can't believe anything this size, can actually move.

You are not quite alone here, the only `%human`3 being yes,
Your cellmate has four arms and a light in it's chest.

You are taken to an arena each and every day,
taught to fight, use weapons/computers, by a short slim Grey.

Sitting in bed, holding your head as the Stars streak by
Where are they taking you, who will you be fighting and why?

Suddenly the ship has stopped moving, here comes another grey
 "`!We have arrived Warrior, your `%Quest `!begins today`3".

                       `%THE STORY`3

`#Somewhere aboard a `7Truyl `#Galactic Cruiser, deep in outerspace..`3

Many years ago This region of space was ruled by a race of great
inter-galactic warriors, however due to a devastating civil war all
that remains of this once great civilization are abandoned cities
scattered across the solar system on a few undeveloped planets.

It has recently come to the attention of your captors, that the blueprints
of the legendary `%Galaexy Hawk `3a mighty war ship once owned by the
aforementioned "race" was placed on a disk and hidden on one of these
planets. It is being guarded by an intelligence of some kind that they
refer to simply as "`0The Guardian`3".

Over the years and after numerous failures, your captors, a highly
advanced race themselves, discovered that the only way to get the disk
is by employing a method of comabt, light years below their current "level".

It would appear that to survive on this planet and succeed at getting the
disk one has to be skilled at wielding a sword, hunting and engaging
ferocious beast through the thick underbrush of the forest that
covers the planet, while dressed in protective armour.

Unable to use their superior technology and having over the years
evolved into a form that makes sword wielding and armour wearing
totally impossible, they (your captors) decided to explore the
neighbouring galaxies in search of civilizations, much like yours,
where the natives are still using such crude methods of combat.

Over a two year period they have abducted dozens of warriors of various
races and have brought them here, taught them some rudimentary computer
skills, brief them on the mission and released them on the planet, hoping
that at least one, would succeed in defeating the guardian and retrieving
the disk.
                             `%THE MISSION

Once a day you are "`%beamed`3" onto the planet surface, you are currently
a `7class one `3warrior. Your mission it appears is quite simple. Collect
500 `@derak `3stones, raise your class to level three, enter the guardians
abode, defeat it and return the disk to the ship. You will then be rewarded
and returned to your home world.

Your first stop each day is, `6Rhyloz `3Compound, a collection of buildings
that include the guardians abode.
As part of training you are given a manual that details the various
buildings and things to do, places to go on etc..

Your inventory includes the `%{WEP}`3 and `%{ARM}`3 that you were
carrying when you got abducted. The only addition is a small phazer, that
can only be fired two or three times daily and a small computer which
can be used to access the "mother ship's" main computers.

                          `$THE COMPUTER`3

The computer is a valuable asset, with it you can "beam" yourself to different
locations, scan the territory you're in, retrieve deraks, hack other warriors,
and launch missiles (which can create deraks and raise your "kill" ratio).

You can also program it to automatically perform certain functions eg:
Scan for and retrieve "deraks" whenever it's turned on for the first time
each day. It is battery powered and after certain number of uses, your
batteries will die, leaving the machine unable to complete certain
operations.

Fortunately you can visit the guardians abode and get a recharge.
One way to preserve your batteries is to always turn the computer off
before you retire for the day.

                          `$DERAKS`3

Deraks are small opaque crystals that populate certain regions of the planet.
As part of your mission, you must collect at least `%500`3 of these.
This is an automated function, use the computer to scan the section you're in
and if any show up, simply use the [`%r`3]etrieve derak function key to
retrieve them.

                          `$THE CULEAN SECTOR`3

East of `6Rhylox `3is the vast desolate region known as the culean sector.
It is divided into four "sections" numbered 1-4. This division is based on
the weather in each region, the amount of gold, gems and stones in each
region, as well as the type of creatures and or robot sentinels that
inhabit each section.

You are alloted `%15 `3"moves" per day, which you should use to move around.
Engage and kill whatever you run into. There is however one tiny catch.
The entire sector is being guarded by a huge robot sentinel dubbed the `%TY89`3.
It is programmed to "sense" and hunt any foreign life form that enters the
sector, to compound your problems, creatures in the sector posess a remarkable
abilty. Once you have entered and engaged one in combat, the others will
"shield" themselves leaving you to (A) blunder around hoping you get lucky or
(b) memorize their location before contact and zero in on them afterwards.

It has been noted that due to high levels of iron in the soil, your
scanner will occasionally produce a false reading when reporting on the
number of hostiles in an area. High readings (ten or more hostiles)
usually produce a few duds, positions that appear to be occupied, but
prove to be empty when you investigate.

Your best course of action is to study the grid carefully, before you
"engage" and note all "`%hostile`3" positions. Please note also that
most of the times, a position will be come occupied almost as soon
as you retreat or kill whatever was previously there.

The `%TY89 `3is constantly on the move, if it catches you with a direct
"`4hit`3" you will be rendered immobile and forfeit your remaining moves for
the day. You are especially vulnerable right after you've engaged a
 "hostile" .

One good way to avoid getting caught is to lead TY89 away from an enemy
position then quickly double back and engage the enemy.
Be on the move at all times, Good hand/eye/foot coordination are the keys
to survival.

TY89's force field, will destroy the enemies "shield" when it passes too
close to them, rendering them visible again. This could be employed
as a strategy, where you lead TY89 around the sector, making it trip
enemy positions.

The sector is also littered with "stones" of various other colors, red, blue
orange etc, after a "kill" you can retrieve these and trade them in for
strength, defense, charm etc at the exchange.

                          `$THE CULEAN SECTOR SECTIONAL BREAKDOWN`3

`%SECTION ONE`3: Inhabited by mostly small mammals this is the only place
that is prolific in "stones". A fairly safe section, however their is no gold
or Jewels here.
`#Low Risk Section`3.

`%SECTION TWO`3: Inhabited mostly by reptiles, their is some gold and
jewels here as well as some "stones", although those may be hard to find.
Supposedly a prime `$derak `3section. Anti-toxins can be very helpful here.
`#This is a Hostile Section.

`%SECTION THREE`3: The Site of a brutal showdown between the "Children"
and the Greys, the only things moving in here are the robot sentinels
built by the Greys to guard what was once a very productive mining
Section. Lots of `$GOLD `3to be had here (no jewels or stones) if
one can survive the Sentinels.
`#This is a Hostile Section`3.

`%SECTION FOUR`3: The most dangerous and the richest section. This section due
to it's proximity to a dimensional gateway is said to be inhabited by
savage inter-dimensional creatures. Not a great place to be but worth the
risk if you are strong enough (Class 3 and or level 8+).
`#Very Hostile Section`3.

                          `$THE EXCHANGE`3

The "stones" you collect in the sector are useless untill you bring them
here. They can be traded for strength, defense, charm and experience.

                          `$THE STORE`3

Get your hacking software, clean your computer if it gets infected or
pay for and get access to a garan missile.

Purchase anti-toxin, usefull if you get bitten in section two.

A `5Garan `3misile when activated and launched into a section will kill
a certain amount of whatever inhabits that section and create deraks
that you can then retrieve, you will also be credited with the "kills".

Some sections will produce more deraks than others, but thats something
you'll have to figure out on your own.
The store can only be accessed twice daily, so use your entries wisely.

                          `$THE GUARDIANS COMPOUND`3

Once a day, you can venture into the guardians compound, entry to the
main building will not be permitted until you've reached the required class
and collected the required number of "deraks".

However you can access certain functions via a terminal next to the door.
Things to do here, include, raising your class and recharging your computer
battery.

                          `$TEAM OPTIONS`3

The team registra can register up to `%five `3teams, so try to register your
team as soon as possible. Forming a team allows you to access a team treasury
that can be used to store large amounts of gold, jewels and stones as well
as team kills.

If you are not allowed to register a team (the max has been reached) then
view the team names, find out who the leaders are then write and ask the
leader of a team you wish to join for the team password.

                          `$MISSION ACCOMPLISHED`3

Having suffered through weeks of combat in the sector, collected the required
number of `!deraks`3, getting to class `%three`3 and defeating the `#guardian`3.

You have completed the mission and proved yourself to be a superior warrior.
Your "captors" as promised live up to their end of the deal and return you
home to the Realm.

                         `$EPILOGUE

You awake in the midst of the forest face down on a grassy field
the birds are singing and it appears to be morning, you are feeling
awesome and a quick check of your status reveals why...

`5You have gained the following:
`%1600 Strength points
`%1400 Defense points
`%1000 Hitpoints
`%100 Million in gold
`%A `#<> Phazer ->`3

You excitedly brush yourself off and head for the `2INN`3, what a story you
have to tell. Somehow even with the `#<> Phazer ->`3 you somehow doubt they
will believe you, who cares a night on the town then the `%R`4ED `%D`4RAGON`3!
`0Life is damn good in these parts...

`5-=-=-=-=-=-=`#-=-=-=-=-=-=`5-=-=-=-=-=-=`#-=-=-=-=-=-=`5-=-=-=-=-=-=`#-=-=-=-=-=-=-`3

But lets not get carried away, you still have to prove yourself where many
have failed. It won't be easy, but you are a warrior not a member of the
`9Children of Galaexy`3, but just as good you tell yourself, `6bring em on baby...
