Section 1: LGCEDIT Program Usage Notes:
------------------------------------------------------------
Note 1: LGCEDIT.EXE can only be used with v2.30, or
with v2.18+ Betas, of LORD Gambling Casino IGM.

Note 2: For access to revise the LORD Player Number field,
use the command LGCEDIT /DEBUG to run the Player Database
Editor utility. ** READ the Warning about this event's
  usage before using it!! **

Note 3: LORD Gambling Casino v2.30's official release was
finished on Sept. 04th, 2008. Use only the IGM files in the
  LORDGC23.ZIP or LGCED11.ZIP distribution archives. 09/04/2008.
  ==========================================================

** Obtain copy of the LGCED11.ZIP distribution archive,
     and/or the LGC-EDIT.ZIP work archive. LGCED10.ZIP was
officially released on 07/30/2008, and put into
     distribution on 07/31/2008. Fidonet hatching/distribution
     of v1.00 done on 09/04/2008.

LGCEDIT.EXE v1.10 prepared and released officially along
with LGCasino v2.30 using LGCED11.ZIP archive on 09/04/2008.
Fidonet hatching/distribution and other online distribution
of all three archives will be done on 09/04-05/2008.

Primary distribution sources are my Castle Camelot and
Camelot LordNews FDN web-sites. Along with the BBS Archives
web-site's FTP server, the Nightfallgames.com server,
and the LegendaryDragons.com FTP server. Periodically,
I will also update the Fidotel BBS's FTP Server with the
newest official release and beta archives of my programs.

The most up-to-date files will always be on the Castle
     Camelot site at http://camelot.legendarydragons.com/.

See LGC-EDIT.ZIP for documentation files updates that I
periodically post to the Castle Camelot web-site.

While program is in beta development, contact me for
the latest IGM archives via email.
     ======================================================

  1) LGCEDIT Config: Added 07/30/2008

During the LGCASINO CONFIG process, a new LGCEDIT.CFG file
is automatically created for the user, using the location
that LGCASINO.EXE is being executed from. (This also is
done when LGCASINO INSTALL process is used.)

The first time LGCEDIT is executed, if LGCEDIT.CFG does
not exist -- in the directory you are running it from --,
the utility will ask you for the path to the LGCasino IGM
directory. Type it in, and press ENTER to exit the dialog
box prompt. The LGCEDIT.CFG file will be created in the
     directory that you specified.
     { ----------------------------------------------------- }

LGCEDIT does not use LGCUSAGE.TXT, or CASINO.DAT. It also
     does not directly use LGCBACK.DAT.

Notice: LGCBACK.DAT is INTENDED only for use by the
IGM itself for one purpose only: Restoring the Player
Database file during IGM operations if it gets deleted
by accident or on purpose while the IGM is in use.

  2) LGCEDIT has only one screen of data. It shows database
fields in the order they are listed in the player database
record structure (usually). Each value, with ONE exception,
may be set to any value that is valid for it.

     (1) The Lord Player Number field is display-only. That is
because I don't see any valid reason to allow users to
     fiddle around with it.

NOTES: LGCASINO.EXE is the ONLY program that is normally
allowed to alter a player record's Player Number field, in
regards to the LORD Gambling Casino IGM.

     --------------------------------------------------------
Exception: If the utility is run using the /DEBUG parameter,
then the user is allowed to modify the value of the LORD
     Player Number field.

The user *MUST* use extreme caution in doing *ANY* changes
to this field while using the LGCEDIT.EXE utility.

Do *NOT* mess with *THIS* variable's value UNLESS YOU KNOW
ABSOLUTELY that the value is invalid. Use either DOS LORD's
LORDCFG.EXE Player Database Editor or my Chasware LPEdit
v1.40 utility to obtain the correct value *BEFORE* you try
to change the LORD Player Number variable's value.

The IGM uses very specific program code in its IGM
Maintenance process for correcting an invalid LORD Player
Number stat's value. Use LGCEDIT to do so *ONLY* if you
are ABSOLUTELY sure that you know what you are doing!!!
     ---------------------------------------------------------

  3) When you exit LGCEDIT, it will resave the LGCPLAY.DAT
file so that any changes you made will be accessible to
     the IGM.

Note: Even if you just view records in LGCEDIT, without changing
a single value, the editor utility will still resave the
LGCPLAY.DAT file when you exit. The program has no way
to know if the user changed values in the records or not.

  ========================================================
  4) Deleting Database Records. Edited 07/30/2008.

LGCEDIT does NOT have a Delete Player Record option. It is
not an IGM where that was considered to be a needed feature.

End of Notes for LGCEDIT usage.
