 Legal Disclaimer: If this program or use of this program harms you or
 anyone else in any way, either directly or indirectly, it is not the
 fault of Tobin Fricke -- or of Donald Tidmore. Use at your own risk.
 ===========================================

 Registration: FREE. Just let me know that you are using the IGM.

         To reach me via postal mail, write to:
           Donald Tidmore, 1111 Berenice Street,
           Tuscumbia, AL, USA  35674-3503

 Requirements: 8088 Processor, FOSSIL Driver, LORD 3.00 or higher
         As far as I know, those still are correct.

 LORDGC is a little door that goes with Legend of the Red Dragon. It
 consists of a Gambling Casino, with four primary options. Play
 Roulette, play Slot Machines, Play Blackjack, or Visit the Bank --
 accesses your LORD bank account. Think of it as an ATM service.

 Using the "Ye Olde Banke", if you run out of Gold on Hand, you can
 get more money to gamble with. Or you can deposit some Gold back
 into your Bank account -- where it can earn you some Interest.

 During visits to the Bank, you may view your Gold in Hand, Gold in
 Bank, and Gems statistics. At any time, during IGM use, you may
 view your primary LORD Stats.
======================================================================

 New Installation:
   * Unzip files from LORDGC21.ZIP archive into a subdirectory under
     your LORD game. I suggest using CASINO directory name.

   * Change to that directory, and type this command at DOS Prompt:
        LORDGC.EXE INSTALL  - or - LORDGC INSTALL
     (Press Enter key on keyboard now)

   * Follow the dialog box window prompts to do installation - or
     re-installation process. * Optional: Verify additions to
     Lognow.txt, 3rdparty.dat files in LORD directory. Verify data
     written to LORDGC.cfg file, in the IGM's directory.

   * If using LordMenu utility, run it and update the two-column
     Other Places text listing files. This ensures that you and
     your users will be able to run the newly installed IGM.

   * Start LORD, and check out the IGM. Installation is finished.
   =================================================================

IGM Configuration Changes:
      -- Unless you want to edit data files manually, do this:

      Run LORDGC REMOVE command. Move LORDGC IGM files to the new
      directory location. Then run LORDGC INSTALL command from there.
      Check 3rdparty.dat to ensure you don't have multiple entries
      for the IGM -- unless for some reason you DO want them.
      Update LordMenu utility's 3rdAlt.txt, other data files.

      -- Manual editing changes:
      ** Open LORDGC.CFG. Line #4 is IGM directory path. If it
      needs change, alter it to where you have moved the IGM files to.

      -- Line #5 is Internal IGM Name. Default says "Dragon's Breath
      Gambling Hall". Change to whatever you want the IGM to display
      in internal game menu screens. Field is limited to 40 spaces.

      -- Line #8 is Max Visits per Day. IGM will disregard any entry
      over 10. Change to value between 1 and 10 as desired.

      -- Save the data file. Reconfiguration is completed.

      NOTE: It is quicker to use the LORDGC CONFIG command.
      However it is not designed to handle IGM directory location
      changes, just the IGM Name and Max Visits fields can be
      changed using the CONFIG process.
      ===============================================================

Altered data files from Install/Config/Remove processes:
    1) LORD's 3rdparty.dat file.  2) LORD's Lognow.txt file.
    3) The LORDGC.cfg IGM configuration file.

    Your 3rdparty.dat entry lines for the IGM should look like this:
        C:\INTERNET\LORD\LORDGC.EXE /N* /Gc:\internet\lord
        `@T`$he `@LORD G`$ambling `@C`$asino v2.10

    If you prefer different color codes, change them to your liking.

    This IGM, due to nature of ANGEL Tool-kit based BBS programs, is
    designed to work either in LOCAL mode, or as a BBS door game.

    ---------------------------------- 09/11/03 --------------------
    Remember, this IGM uses ANSI color codes, so you must be using
    the ANSI.SYS device driver or an ANSI utility program, while
    running the IGM under LORD. The Setup process also uses ANSI
    colors. Those running Windows 2000/NT/XP/Server 2003 O/s's are
    advised to use the PC Magazine ANSI.COM utility. A copy of the
    archive is available from link on my web-site's LORD Links Page.

    To get ANSI from PC Magazine, you will have to subscribe to their
    Utilities Download service, as utility downloads are no longer free.
====================================================================

Updating Instructions:
    1) From Tobin Fricke's version:
       -- Un-install the IGM from your LORD Game.
       -- Manually delete all data files used by old version,
          especially Lordint.exe file. That is no longer used.
       -- Create an CASINO IGM directory - recommended.
          You can use another directory of your choice also.
       -- Unzip all files from LORDGC21.zip into that directory.
       -- From DOS Prompt, execute this command: LORDGC INSTALL
          Answer all prompts shown on-screen.

    2) Update from v2.00:
       1) Unzip files from LORDGC21.ZIP into the IGM's directory.
          Use overwrite mode, so that newer files are extracted.
       2) Manually edit 3rdparty.dat to show IGM as version 2.10.
          Alternative: Un-install version 2.00.  Then install v2.10.
       3) Start using the updated IGM.

    These directions also apply to any user to v2.0x beta versions.

    For everyone:
    -- If using LordMenu, update its data files.
    -- That concludes the update process to go from v1.7 to v2.00.
    -- Or to go from v2.00 to v2.10.

    v2.10 Note: Changed program name from "L.O.R.D. Gambling Casino"
    to "LORD Gambling Casino".  09/16/2003.
=====================================================================

Internal Menus Program Name:
    The IGM's name, as displayed in menus, defaults to the original
    one of "Dragon's Breath Gambling Hall". The user can use their
    own choice of internal IGM name, selectable while installing or
    reconfiguring the IGM. Your choice is limited to 50 spaces
    in length.
===================================================================

 -- Source Code:

   Tobin spent a good amount of time on the IGM, as have I so far.

   If you simply want to study the code, for purpose of writing your
   own IGM, let me know, and I'll send it to you. Usage of various
   IGM code elements will require you to also gain usage permission
   from Tobin Fricke and Charlie Wardick. No distribution is allowed
   of the source code to others is allowed, under any circumstance,
   without my written, explicit permission.

   Also, no recompilation is permitted without my permission, other
   than to study how IGM works, for work on your own LORD programs.
   At any rate, if you work on the code in ANY way, I expect to be
   notified, and sent copies of all modifications made to this IGM.
   Donald. 05/26/2003.

              ==================================================
* Thanks to Tobin Fricke for finding the source code to his old IGM
  and turning it over to me, and for all the help he gave me in
  figuring out how the program works.

* Thanks to Charlie Wardick and Jason Brown for teaching me most of
  I have learned since June 2002 about LORD IGM/BBS Pascal programming.

* Thanks to Chris MacPherson for allowing me to work on his Pawn Shop
  LORD IGM, since Thanksgiving 2002. Work on it greatly increased my
  understanding of BBS programming over the past months.

* Thanks to my various LORD friends who do beta testing of all of my
  LORD programs, for their friendship and for being great buddies.

                       { IGM/Utility Support Notice: }
  Since I do not use a Linux-based computer, I can not provide support
  for this program if you are using the LORD/x beta, beyond the normal
  DOS LORD IGM support level.

  As of May 23rd, 2003, LORD/32 for Windows is in beta #2. It does
  not yet support IGM usage. When it does, and is stable for Local
  Mode usage for people like myself, I will test L.O.R.D. Cavern, The
  Gateway, The Outlands Tavern IGMs; the LordStat and RHP Toolkit LORD
  utilities; my LPEdit LORD player editor utility; and The Gem Trader,
  The Nice Hag, The Forest Outhouse, The LORD Gambling Casino, and
  The Pawn Shop LORD IGMs -- to see if any changes need to be made, in
  order to provide Lord/32 support for them.
  ---------------------------------

  In summary, this program may be used with DOS LORD versions and will
  be fully supported. Limited support may be available eventually for
  LORD/32 users, running my LORD programs. It depends on whether Michael
  Preslar releases details on how IGMs are to interact differently, if
  at all, when they are run by either LORD/X or LORD/32.
==========================================================================

Windows XP -- LORD v4.07 beta Notes:
======================================
Have no idea whatsoever why IGM is shown in half-screen mode when it
is executed by Lord. And I have no knowledge at this time of how to
get igms (or any other dos program treated similarly) to run in
full-screen. So do NOT ask me for solution to this one. I'm just
glad to see that LORD 4.07 runs under XP as well as this IGM. Even
if it now is "squashed looking" on the screen. 07-22-2003 note.
    Users may need to simply run the IGM in Full-Screen mode.
========================================================================

Email notes - August 2003:
==========================
I am now using donald.tidmore@fidotel.com for my primary LORD-based
email address. So use it or donald.tidmore@usa.net to contact me.
If unable to use either one, then use ktidmore@bellsouth.net.
==================================================================

Update Plans:
---------------
None. This probably is the last work I'll do on this IGM, unless
    I decide to do more code tweaking someday. Or I find a way
    to add new casino games to the IGM.
----------------------------------------------------------------

END - LORD Gambling Casino v2.10 Docs. September 2003 Release.
