 1.	INTRODUCTION

You travel a great distance to get to the Abandoned Mines.  If the rumors are 
true, there are great fortunes in gold to be found here.  There is also the 
chance that you will never return.  Will you emerge rich or will you fall 
victim to the tormented souls of this long ago deserted mine?

 3. REQUIREMENTS

LORD (Legend of the Red Dragon) 3.5 or higher
The Gateway 1.0 or higher


 4. ABOUT THE GATEWAY

The Gateway is another IGM (in-game module) for LORD that runs other modules 
written specifically for The Gateway using its scripting language.  The 
Gateway is installed into LORD's 3rdparty.dat file and shows up in the game 
under Other Places.  Once a player has chosen The Gateway from 
the Other Places menu, they are shown an additional menu of IGMs for The 
Gateway that the sysop has installed into that game.

The Gateway is freeware and very easy to install.  You can find the latest 
version from one of the following sites:

 5. INSTALLATION
 
Once The Gateway has been installed (required!!), installing The Abandoned 
Mines is easy.

A. Copy the file MINES.RHP to your Gateway directory
B. Run Gateway's SETUP.EXE
C. From SETUP's Main Menu, hit 'E' (extra configuration)
D. From the Extra Configuration Menu, hit '2' (install a RHP)
E. Choose the letter that corresponds to MINES.RHP.  For example, the 
	line may look like this:
	A) [1]: MINES.RHP  (The Abandoned Mines)
	In this example, you would choose 'A'
F. Hit '*' to exit the installation menu
G. Choose 'S' to save and exit
H. Hit 'Q' to quit SETUP.EXE


 6. UNINSTALLATION

A. Run Gateway's SETUP.EXE
B. From SETUP's Main Menu, hit 'E' (extra configuration)
C. From the Extra Configuration Menu, choose '3' (list/remove RHPs)
D. Choose the letter that corresponds to MINES.RHP.  For example, the 
	line may look like this:
	A) [1]: MINES.RHP   (The Abandoned Mines)
	In this example, you would choose 'A'
E. Hit '*' to exit the menu
F. Choose 'S' to save and exit
G. Hit 'Q' to quit SETUP.EXE


 7. LICENSE

This and all of my IGMs are freeware.  Feel free to upload this archive, 
unaltered, to any BBS/web site that features LORD IGMs.
