Turgeon's House LORD IGM -- IGM History Notes file
===================================================

  v1.0 -=> First Release! [1995]

  v2.0 -=> Released [1995]
         > Spelling errors corrected
         > Prompts changed to a LORD type Prompt but colors are
           different.
         > Turgeon's Room Activated
         > EXE file is going to stay 'Thouse4.exe' for ease of
           upgrading to future versions.
         > Randomization changed to give more of a chance of
           getting something.
         > Ending added to let users know that it didn't
           lock-up.
         > Fixed the Stack OverFlow Error.
         > THouse updates the user's Time Left in LORD after
           quitting THouse.
         > In v1.0 it checked your Seen_Master variable and if
           you had fought the Turgeon Master that day then it
           wouldn't let you in. When you quit the game it made
           it say the you HAD seen the Turgeon Master! In v2.0
           it checks the Seen_Dragon variable instead of the
           Seen_Master variable. That means if you do fight the
           dragon that day then you can't get in and when you
           quit Thouse, it changes the Seen_Dragon variable to
           YES!
         > When trading your Weapon/Armour, the Strength/Defence is
           increased and decreased according to your weapon.
         > Carrier Dropped is now detected and handled
           accordingly. Player's On_Now Stat is turned off when
           Carrier Dropped.

  v2.5 -=> Released [1995]
         > Now L.O.R.D. v3.5 compatible!
         > Instead of checking the Seen_Dragon variable in v2.0,
           See Above, Thouse creates 'THouse.Dat' and checks it
           for the users that has been on the current day. <This
           is new and may have problems, but I'm 99.9% sure it
           WILL work>
         > Config prompt has changed to the prompt used in the
           program.

  v2.8 -=> Released [1996]
         > Now L.O.R.D. v3.53 compatible!

  v3.0 -=> Released [2002]
         > Recompiled to eliminate RTE200 errors
         > Confirmed L.O.R.D. v4.06 compatible
         > Rewrote algorithms: Glass(Kitchen); Cushions(Living
           Room) This means they are more structured and you
           might be able to find a pattern if you keep a close
           eye on Igm events long enough
         > Updated drink names to something relative to this
           century
         > Named the cushions instead of them being a number
         > Updated the pause button (doesn't say press any key)
         > Gold amount is now determined by the player level
         > THouse Config now supports more than 16 IGMS

         > Added more stuff with the fairies
         > Made sure 2000000000 gold won't put a user negative
         > Addition to the credits:
                Donald Tidmore: for all your lord needs, visit...
                http://camelot.legendarydragons.com
         > Changed/added text here and there

  v3.20 -=> Released [January 05, 2004]
         > IGM adopted by Donald Tidmore in September 2003.

         > Confirmed LORD v4.07 beta compatiblility.
         > View Stats screen accessible from various locations.
         > Q key works in most menus to exit them.
         > Stats screen displays {MASTERED} beside a skill's
           points entry, if its value is 40+.
         > IGM handles players who have bought/acquired weapons
           and armour in 16+ range from other IGMs (such as
           The Pawn Shop), which are not standard LORD equipment.

         > IGM now uses Turgeon.dat to store IGM config info;
           and ThMaint.dat to store IGM maint. info and player
           database information.
         > THOUSE /CONFIG process was streamlined and optimized
           to work better and faster.
         > For quick IGM installation, use THOUSE /INSTALL.
         > For quick IGM un-install, use THOUSE /REMOVE.
         > Results of weapon/armour Trades are shown on-screen.
         > Kitchen Drink event has 3 more drink names.
         > There are a total of 15 drink choices in the Kitchen.
         > During beta development phase, sysop/end user player
           may use IGM features repeatedly. Otherwise, IGM is
           as usual one usage per day for everyone.
         > The Experience reward granted occasionally by Fairies
           is now limited to 250 Million Exp. points.
         > Kitchen event optimized and randomly allows player
           to get either Defense, Strength, or Max Hitpoints
           when drinking from Glass - or they get nothing at all.
         > When searching for Gold in Bedroom, players who have
           75+% hitpoints injury receive free healing.
=======================================================

  v3.30:  Released on July 14, 2004:
         * Added lognow.txt notice whenever someone is rude
           to Turgeon's mother in the attic.
         * Prelim work on Kitchen Food event. 05/04/04.
           6 food item choices in usable status so far.
         * The THOUSE /REMOVE process will check for any OUT
           files, created by LORD for use with the IGM, which
           did not get deleted normally. IF any are found,
           which belong to the IGM, they will be deleted.
         * There are 15 Food events, randomly selected.
         * Added "Request Orphan Child" option to Fairies in
           Closet event, in the Bedroom. 07/06/2004.
=======================================================

  v3.40:  Released on Dec. 01, 2004 officially:
         * Fixed problems with remote BBS users not being
           able to see text on-screen in various IGM events,
           or to see/respond to pause statements.
         * Fixed glitch with remote BBS users not being able
           to get keyboard input recognized when they responded
           to menu prompts.
         * Added support for usage of either THOUSE UnInstall
           or THOUSE /UnInStall when doing IGM un-installation.
         * Changed IGM to directly support up to 999 nodes
           after observing in LORD's docs that it theoretically
           could handle up to 999 nodes.
         * In the Attic, the charm points reward is now
           game level-based, with maximum reward of 50 points.
         * Added wish for Sex Change to Fairies in Closet event.

         * Added lognow.txt entry for Sex Change event.
         * Rewrote the THOUSE /CONFIG, THOUSE CONFIG process code
           so that IGM properly remembers the Sysop Handle field.
           Config values entered by user are now displayed on-screen
           during the CONFIG process before they are written to
           the Turgeon.dat file.
         * During IGM installation, if 3rdparty.dat file does not
           exist, a new one with LORD's default 5 lines is created.
         * During IGM installation, the IGM will now create a new
           lognow.txt file if one does exist, using the two default
           lines that LORD starts the file with.
=======================================================

  v4.00:   ##  Officially released on March 21th, 2005.  ##

         * IGM rebuilt using source code from Turgeon's House v3.40
           and my Gem Trader v2.20 IGM, using the A.N.G.E.L. Tool-
           kit by Jimmy Rose and Andy Stewart.
             See:  http://www.jimmyrose.com/atlantis/index.htm

         * New data files put into use on Jan. 31, 2005 are:
           -- Turgplay.dat - igm's player database file.
           -- Turg-use.txt - igm's Usage Reports text file.
           -- TurgTime.dat - igm's time/date usage file.
           -- Turgeon.dat  - igm configuration file.
         * New player database structure usage started on
           Jan. 31, 2005;  and on Mar. 21, 2005.
         * Automatic repair of negative LORD stats added to IGM,
           during both IGM entry and IGM exit process.
         * Added option inside IGM for viewing the IGM's History
           Notes text file.
         * Added 2nd Usage Report, covering Max HitPoints, Strength,
           Defense, Charm, Skill Points, and Forest Fights.
         * Added 2 more database variables to cover Skill Use
           Points and Forest Fights.
         * Added random event at IGM exit. Players who are on foot
           now have 25% chance of finding a red horse in a meadow.
         * Added second random IGM exit event. Provided player has
           less than 32,000 Kids, they have 25% chance of finding
           a lost orphan child while sitting on the porch.
         * Added nine new database variables to prevent repeat
           usage of IGM events once they have been used each day.
         * Added Max Visits/Day code to IGM. Users may now decide
           for themselves if they wish to use IGM more than once
           a day. Maximum setting is 5. Lowest setting is 1.
         * No limits, as to Visits/Day, are used with the two random
           events which occur during IGM exit. So users MAY get
           more than one chance a day to get a Horse or Orphan
           Child, but that is only if the IGM is set for more than 1
           use/day.

         * Players who violate the Visits/Day rule are "fussed at",
           denied access to the Random events, and they do not get
           to see the ending Stats and Usage Reports screens.
           Someday in the future, they will risk being killed when
           Turgeon comes home and finds they have been stealing
           stuff from his home.

         * Version 4.00 was released on March 21, 2005.
=======================================================

  v4.20:   ##  Officially released on October 12th, 2005.  ##

         * Added TURGEDIT.EXE player database editor utility.

         * Fixed glitch with THOUSE4 REPORT command where IGM
           failed to display TURG-USE.TXT file on-screen properly
           at times when more than 1 screen was needed.

         * Added Second Chance for Couch search when player gets
           nothing from looking under a couch cushion.

         * Added auto-repair of some over-range LORD stats at
           IGM entry and IGM Exit.

         * Removed IGM's special #16-20 armour and weapons so IGM
           is compatible with LORD v4.07 beta, which was crashing
           in summer 2005 when the equipment # exceeded 15.

         * IGM's Adoptions per day limit is now 10.

         * On the porch, you now have 20% chance of finding ONE
           orphan child, and a similar 20% chance of finding TWO
           orphan children.

         * During IGM exit process, it now asks if you want to
           view the LORD stats screen and Usage Reports screens.

         * Added Weapon Injury Event to Weapons Trade. Player
           with new weapon # in 5-15 range has 25% chance of
           the event occurring. If it does, player loses up to
           4,000 Hit-Points and up to 500 Strength points.

         * Added HitMax Surprise Event to Visit Attic. Player
           at Game Level 3-12 who gets Charm points gift has 25%
           chance of getting up to 100 Max HitPoints from old lady.

         * TURGEDIT v1.00 utility and Turgeon's House v4.20 IGM
           were officially released on October 12th, 2005.
==========================================================

Version 4.30 Notes:  {Added 02/17/2007}

         * Jul. 08, 2006: Re-opened IGM as v4.21 Beta and
           TurgEdit.exe as v1.01 Beta for new development work

         * Jul. 09: Rewrote IGM's install/config/remove
           unit code file. Periodic revisions done afterwards
           as I evolved how I handle each IGM's INSTALL,
           CONFIG, and REMOVE commands.

         * IGM started using TURGEON4.DAT IGM config file on
           Jul. 09, 2007 along with new config file structure.

         * Jul. 21: The Fairy Wisdom Reward is now limited to
           20% of player's Experience Points. Actual reward
           amount is limited to 250 Million points.

         * Jul. 22: The IGM now grants the player Two Kids if
           Fairies can not grant an Experience request due to
           player having reached the 500 Million Exp. Points
           limit used by Turgeon's House each day.

         * Greedy players who ask the Fairies for Kids when they
           already have 32,000 Kids will be punished with 10%
           loss of their Children.

         * In Turgeon's House, it is NOT possible to CATCH a
           Fairy. Trying to do so results in punishment.

         * Nov. 26: Fixed IGM to use TURGBACK.DAT player database
           restoration file. If the player database file is lost
           or deleted while IGM is in use, TURGBACK.DAT is used
           to recreate the player database. Data recorded for
           current player's current visit is lost in the process.

         * Feb. 08, 2007: Added new Desserts event in Kitchen.
           Eventually there will be 15 or so Desserts for the
           IGM to randomly choose from. Coded so far: Chocolate Cake,
           Banana Pie, Lemon Meringue Pie, Glazed Doughnuts, Fudge
           Brownies, and Pecan Pie.

         * Feb. 08: Changed several Drink names. The new ones are:
           Mountain Dew, Diet Coke, Diet Sprite, Diet Sunkist, Grape
           Soda, Kool-Aid, and Grape Juice.

         * Feb. 08: Changed several Food names. The new ones are:
           Hamburger and Fries, Chili Hot Dogs, Roast Beef Sandwich,
           Ravioli and Meatballs, and Sausage Pizza.

         * Feb. 08: IGM's Player Database structure was revised
           to include Had_Dessert variable. As with Food and
           Drink events in the Kitchen, the new Dessert event
           is also only usable ONE time per day.

         * Feb. 28: Added Orange Sherbet, Popcorn and Pretzels,
           and Apple Pie to Desserts event.  {04/06/07 info}

         * April 02: Fixed glitch where IGM would freeze up if
           it was run outside of LORD without any parameters.
           Changed IGM to v4.24 Beta.        {04/06/07 info}

         * April 03: Edited the Title Screen. {04/06/07 info}

         * April 06: Added Strawberry Pie, Chocolate Ice Cream,
           and Chocolate Doughnuts to the Desserts event. There
           will be more added at a later date.

           Changed IGM to dis-allow re-entry into the house once
           the player leaves the Foyer, and goes outside onto
           the porch. You can only explore the House ONE time
           per visit now.

           Fixed omission where Fairies granted a Horse but
           forgot to increase your Forest Fights. Fixed glitch
           where player got Horse from Fairies *AND* then igm
           granted them a horse as they were leaving the porch
           to go back to LORD.

           Worked on IGM Install, Config, and Un-Install modules.

         * Aug. 03: Renamed THOUSE4.EXE to TURGEON.EXE. All users
           will need to manually their 3RDPARTY.DAT file to
           reflect the program name change.

         * Aug. 30: Fixed glitch in Kitchen. The IGM was failing to
           let players exit the room when they used G or Q, because
           it had code to re-load the Kitchen Menu screen automatically
           as long as player had not used all three Kitchen events yet.

           IOW, if you did not Eat the Food, did not Eat the Dessert,
           and did not drink the Beverage, then you found yourself
           stuck in the igm for awhile until the inactivity timeout
           kicked you out of the program. I'm sorry about not
           noticing this problem sooner, but that gremlin has been
           duly executed. He should not be able to bug anyone any
           more in the future.

         * Aug. 31: Did fine-tuning work on IGM code files.
           The TURGEDIT v1.10 utility and Turgeon's House v4.30
           IGM are both officially released as of August 31th,
           2007. Distribution of the two archives will be done
           on September 01st, 2007.
