11/30/2010 Advisory:  I've not been doing any LORD programming
for several months in 2010.  During that time, not one person
has ever contacted me about getting my programs finished or
updated.   Hopefully I will be able to get some finished and
officially released during December, but it may be early 2011
before anything is fully finished.  I am not making any plans
currently for LORD programming in 2011.  Donald

Long-term work:  LORD Cavern, Outlands Tavern, RHPTest/LordType.
I have no idea when their next official releases can be made.

Notation:  I never release a program until I am fairly sure
it will not require a subsequent update later in the same
year.  I also won't release something just to get it out of
development during any specific month, if I don't feel it
is a 100% stable and finished program.

                            Program Status Notes:

1. Some of these programs are nearly ready for official
   release.  Others will require more time.

   No timetable for these program's release is known yet:

   LORD Skeleton, Outlands Skeleton, The Outlands Tavern, Realm
   of Lore, or Violet's Cottage II;  RHP Toolkit (v1.6);  Free
   World II;  and ChasWare LPEdit/32.

   Doofus the Gnome, The Forest Outhouse, The Gateway, The Gem
   Trader.

2. ANGEL-based version of Outlands Tavern.
   Program Name: Outlands Skeleton.  (TAVERN.EXE)

   - Started work on creation of, and testing of, skeleton
     framework of Outlands Tavern on 05/05/2008, using code
     from Hiding In the Shadows and Pawn Shop.

     Released for BBS beta testing usage in mid-August 2008.

3. ANGEL-based version of Realm of Lore.
   Program Name:  LORD Skeleton.  (SKELETON.EXE)

   - 09/13/2008: Merged all of ROL's IGM code into the LORD
     Skeleton IGM.  Will eventually become Realm of Lore v2.01 Beta.

     Released for BBS beta testing usage in mid-September 2008.

    Both LORD/32 programs are in inactive development currently.
    Chasware Lpedit/32 is a finished project.

    DOS utility for the LORD/32 IGM.  Updated once a month.

       player database converters;  and RLMEDIT Monster Database
       Editor.

IGM Setup Utilities:  LCSETUP.EXE for LORD Cavern;  OTSETUP.EXE
    for Outlands Tavern;  RLSETUP.EXE for Realm of Lore;  FOSETUP.EXE
    for Forest Outhouse;  and GWSETUP2.EXE for The Gateway.

RHP Toolkit utilities:  RHPTEST and LORDTYPE.

** LORD/32 programs status Notice: 10/23/2007.
   -------------------------------------------------------
   I will finish work on Free World II and Lpedit/32, and
   get them released.  After that, I have no definite plans
   regarding Lord/32 programs in the future.  Not ONE
   person has ever provided feedback on how Free World II
   works on their BBS.  No one ever expresses interest in
   having other LORD/32 igms created or developed.  Sad but
   it appears that no one gives a hoot about LORD/32 apps.

   Until someone notifies me that Free World II is working
   properly on another person's system, *AND* that it works
   properly via telnet on a BBS LORD/32 game, I am *NOT*
   going to work on ANY more LORD/32 applications.

   *IF* I do another LORD/32 IGM, it will be for Kiteria's
   LORD Bank/32 to replace the never completed LORD/32 igm
   version of it that Chris Martino started for me in 2006 -
   and never finished.  He *NEVER* sent me the new source code
   for that program or other LORD/32 igms he was making for me.
   Therefore, its impossible for me to provide support for them.

Planned IGM Updates Development:

(1) Hiding In The Shadows.  Requires a short-term coding update.

    Purpose: Fix code that sysop Daryl Stout noticed that gives
    impression that a single player is married.

(2) Turgeon's House.  Requires a short-term glitch fix update.

    Details: Last version makes references to THOUSE4.EXE
    for some reason in locations.

(3) LORD Holidays.  Requires a short-term coding update.

    Details: Change invalid references to Daryl Stout's wife's
    death that used the wrong date.  Minor updates otherwise.
    No brand new events are planned.

(4) ChasWare LPEDIT: Needs short-term update.

    Purpose: If LPEDIT detects a record that has nothing in
    the LORD CLASS variable, it does not work properly. The
    update will reset CLASS to 1, if it has an invalid value
    or no value at all.  No other changes are planned.

Schedule (sometime in 2010)  -- ANGEL Conversions:

1) Conversion of The Gateway IGM to use ANGEL tool-kit.

2) Conversion of The Forest Outhouse IGM to use ANGEL tool-kit.

3) Conversion of The L.O.R.D. Cavern IGM to use ANGEL tool-kit.

4) Conversion of RHPTest utility to use ANGEL tool-kit in its
   RHP Language library unit, which currently uses DDIGM.

5) The Village Hut's ANGEL version work - no timetable.

Long-Term development - Have not made outline of how these
events will work yet.

(1) Ruined Castle IGM (v2.50 probably)  Timetable: None.
    Will be updated to include Castle of LORD igm events.

    ** Recreation of Castle of LORD events plans:
    ** I have not determined yet which of my other igms are
    suitable new homes for these four events.

    1) Sage's House.             2) Healing Priest.
    3) Cutthroat's Guild.        4) Jeweler's Shoppe.

    Probably all four will be merged into The Ruined Castle.

    ** I have no recreation plans for these 3 events, due
    to their complexity, and lack of knowledge on how Trevor
    Herndon developed them, or the structure/content of The
    Arena's MONSTER.DAT file.  It is also unknown what the IGM
    does with KNIGHT.DAT, or why it is needed at all.

    1) The Palace.    2) Training Grounds.    3) The Arena.

    ** Doing an incomplete version of Castle of LORD, for purpose
    of recreating the entire IGM does not make sense.  I only
    commit to making IGM recreations when I can reasonably expect
    to be able to code *ALL* of the old IGM's events reliably
    doing justice to the original IGM and its author.  {END}

    ** Castle Library event (inside castle).  Not sure when or
    if this will ever be coded.

    ** Castle Ghost wish:  Possibly allow player to wish harm to
    befall an enemy.  Will have to think about that and plan it out.

    ** Conversion of my Troll2.ldy script into an in-castle event.

2) Turgeon's House - Next development cycle.

   * Fairies in Closet - Skill Use Point replacement wish.
     -- Will only work on the player's current Skill Class.
     -- As with other wishes, fairy has to be in a good mood
     or the wish will simply be ignored as they depart closet.

   * Random event 1:  Turgeon comes home, finds burglar in house.
     -- Have not decided if player gets killed or not.  But they
     will be beaten nearly to death and thrown out of igm.

   * Random event 2:  In kitchen, you get sick, throw up, lose
     some stats (HitPoints and Strength/Defense) after eating
     Food and/or drinking Beverage.

   * Random event 5: Players will have to risk LOSING Gold and
     Gems while they go room to room.  IGM should not always be
     a no-risk program where you never get hurt, or never risk
     death, but it just has worked out that way in the past.
   ==========================================================

3) Hiding In The Shadows - Next development cycle.

    ** Add two player database variables: Conan_Rescue
    and Kids_Sold.

    ** Make new version of CONVHITS for converting player
    database files from v3.00 format to the new format.

    ** Make new version of SHADEDIT incorporating the
    two new database variables Conan_Rescue and Kids_Sold.

    ** Future wishes to be worked on eventually:

    1) 2nd chance to fight Master.  2) 2nd chance to Flirt with
    Player.  3) Renewal of current skill class's Skill Use points.
    And possibly (4) Grant 1 Skill Point per day to player.

   * Add Conan_Rescue variable to player database format.
     The IGM allows Conan to save a dead warrior from death
     one time per day.  Feature was enabled in late Sept. 2007,
     but the one time a day limit works best with a matching
     database variable.

   * Add Kids_Sold variable to player database format to allow
     sysops to limit on daily basis how many Kids can be traded
     for Gems per Day.
