Okay, I'm going to attempt to be as civil as possible here and not post a flame, or flame bait.
Michael: While your personal life and problems may seem like they are too much for you right now, please remember that there are a lot of us out there who put a lot more into our every day lives just to keep alive and eating and breathing. Granted that the situation you have described sounds rather bad, there are still many many worse situations out there, and even many such where the people involved happen to be sysops, putting out every last ounce of strength they have into keeping their BBSs alive. Also, judging from the previous statements you've posted on your ranting page, I somehow get the feeling that you may be exaggerating the facts a bit here.
If this is not the case, then I appologize to you, it is merely a personal judgement from what you've said in the past.
Now, as for my thoughts on your work with Lord and the Joseph Masters' IGMs, here you go. If you don't have the time/dedication to put towards this project then maybe it would be in everyone's best interest to pass it on to someone else who does. Your 'cosmetic' release of 4.02 has left a lot of sysops out there with huge problems involving their registration codes, that they *paid* for, not working correctly. Instead of just updating the text in 4.02 to reflect the new owners of the game, there were a lot more bugs added, and none fixed (at least that I've heard of/saw). Players get to level 6, and when they challenge the master it tells them their sysop was too cheap to pay to register the game, even when it is registered, with a legitimate registration code that was accepted by the game.
You even told us back in October that you were going to have a new version up by Halloween. Granted there may have been set backs, but don't you think that it's been a bit long since that promised release date?
As for LordNet, and your 17 other IGMs, the same applies. If you can't work on them yourself, please don't just leave them sit. There are a *lot* of people using LordNet now, and they are all in a hole right now. As it stands, nobody can touch the source of them because you 'own' it. You don't even have the programs themselves on your download page, which there is absolutely *no* excuse for, after all, you seem to have the time and effort to go out of your way to flame everybody who posts something negative about your work on this page, yet apparently not enough time to put 17 links up on your downloads page.
Maybe you should also consider that there are other points of view than your own on these matters before you do things like flame IceRage for being against your project here. After all, what would you be saying right now about this project of yours that hasn't done anything except add more bugs to Lord if you weren't the one working on it? Somehow, from the way you post about others, I don't think that you'd be too nice about it.
