T&J Software
Guest Authored By Doug Rhea
A blast from the past ....
Ok, it's on it's way:
http://doors.tjsales-collectibles.com
None of the links work yet, but Tom promises he is working on the web page
when he can... and you can disregard the registration stuff, says he is
making the doors free (either no code or he'll make a way for users to get
their own codes)....
So stay tuned and I'll keep you up to date.
Doug Rhea
Note: The site was down at the time of this posting, but it was up and I am hopeing that it is just a server issue.

T&J Doors
Guest posted by Doug Rhea
I have been after Tom Wildoner for about 9 months to find his source code and/or reg code software. I wanted to see people be able to register his doors again:
Lemonade Stand
Bordello
Junk Yard
And I don't know the rest....
Anyway, I guess I finally bugged him enough or put the bug in his ear to work on it.
Here is the latest email I got from him:
From: "Tom Wildoner"
To: "Doug Rhea"
Date: 02/27/2004 06:32 PM
Subject: RE: BBS Doors
Hi Doug,
Actually, I did come across almost everything. I have a business trip until
next weekend, but upon my return I am placing all the old web pages,
software, etc. back on the web. I even have a bug to possibly complete a few
old doors (time depending). First step is to get everything back online -
if I can decipher my old notes and software we'll working on some general
keys for all the doors also. I'd really prefer to do some html scripting and
let people generate their own keys, but one step at a time.
The doors will be available at: www.tjsales-collectibles.com when I get the
pages setup the link will be here.

John Daily Software
Ever wonder if John Dailey would ever emerge from his BBS slumber? Well, he has!
John Dailey has released a update to Global Warfare.
Global War v2.7 now available!
This release is a minor update (and free upgrade to registered users) to v2.6 which fixes the problem with players unable to take their turns and enhances both local and remote display of the map images.
Also....32bit door development underway.
Hackin' Crackin' v2.0 Win32bit is currently undergoing beta testing. This version of the software represents months of work of porting our existing library files and the door's code itself to work as a native 32bit Windows application.
Very exciting to see such a popular author go back to his roots!

Lore
Guest authored by Timothy Arnold
----------------------------------------------------
Remember the BBS Online Game called Lore by Justin Kominar of Eleven
Software? I've recently inquired about what the future holds for Lore and if
there will be any newer releases of the game. Basically Lore has been put on
the back burner for now and the author doesn't anticipate any releases of
Lore in the near future. However, the author did mention that if he receives
enough feedback requesting a newer release of Lore, then the author(s) will
start their programming on the next release of the game. For those of you
who are unsure of what Lore is about, it's an on-line game of fantasy
role-playing!
Features a full-screen ANSI graphics interface, with a detailed and
colourful moving map system. Over 1 million
locations to move to! Visit 50+ cities & talk with the inhabitants
interactively, or go underground in search of treasure!
Hundreds of monsters to fight! Full Inter-BBS support, real-time
multinode interaction, build and defend your own
fully-featured bases, hire computer-controlled allies, and much more.
Very easy to install and configure, even if
you've never installed a door before! If you are interested in giving Lore a
try, visit Biohazardous Material @ telnet://biohazardousmaterial.com!
If you would like to see future releases of Lore, then send the author(s) an
email and tell them about it! You can email the author(s) at the following
addresses:
Justin Kominar: justin@elven.ca
Warren Schrey: warren@elven.ca
Let Lore continue! It's one of the most in-depth, most advanced and
detailed online game I've played yet!

atk.org Back online
After a long break At2k is Back in action.
[Latest News] - AT2k - Your Support Center and Information Leader for the VBBS & VADV BBS Software
I've updated all of the AT2k VADV scripts today. I removed the install.com that was still present in several of the archives and updated a few of the scripts with versions that had been running on my system.
The AT2k Message Update Utility (MsgUpd) v1.1 for Virtual Advanced was released today. This new version will not reset any ignored subs.
A problem with AspectNet and Windows XP was found today. Apparently the ftp.exe that comes with Windows XP will screw up a batch file. A fix for this is to replace it with the version from Windows 2000.

CrashMail II 0.7
CrashMail II
Release of CrashMail II 0.7. After a long wait, there is a new version. The main new feature in this version is the new message filter, but there are also several bugfixes and other improvements. If you still use CrashMail, please send me an e-mail (billing@df.lth.se), I am curious about how many CrashMail users there still are.
You might also want to check out my new project JamNNTPd if you have missed it. JamNNTPd is a nntp-server which uses a JAM messagebase which makes it possible to read and write fidonet messages using a standard newsreader.

StormDoor
Nullvalue over at BBSmates sent this to me.
For anyone interested in writing door games, I have created a new doorkit, called StormDoor. It has been written specifically for 32-bit Windows Programming languages, such as Visual Basic, Visual C++, and .NET. The doorkit is compliled into an ActiveX object (OCX), and can be used from within any programming language which supports this technology. It's very easy to use.. Supports most ANSI commands, and real-time multinode communication. The Multi-node communication is accomplished by using windows sockets (via UDP protocol) to communicate between the multiple instances (nodes) of the door.
This is the first release beta, so if you have any questions, email nullvalue@bbsmates.com.
StormDoor is distributed with documentation and a commented sample application.

Beemail 4.97
Taken from the Beemail site.
BeeMail 4.97 has been released. Apparently in the last release I got
fat-finger syndrome and left some DLLs out so it would not run properly.
Those DLLs are included in this release as well as a few more minor bug fixes.
Click the link to download version 4.97 of BeeMail to keep things moving along.
